Manchester United could face stiff competition for Jarrad Branthwaite’s signature this summer.
The Everton centre-back has been heavily linked with a switch to United in recent months, after an impressive breakthrough season in the Premier League.
Branthwaite, 20, had already made a name for himself in the Netherlands following a season-long loan at PSV Eindhoven last term.
According to Football Insider, Man City are ‘keeping tabs’ on Branthwaite.
It remains to be seen who Gareth Southgate will start at centre-back against Bosnia and Herzegovina this evening, but Branthwaite has been tipped to feature in the friendly match.
There will be more clubs watching him closely rather than just United.
United are planning to strengthen their centre-back options this summer following the departure of Raphael Varane. It is believed that Branthwaite is among their targets as a potential replacement for the Frenchman.
Everton could demand up to £70m for Branthwaite’s signature, so they’ll be eager to welcome interest from multiple clubs.
