 Lone Star' May Be Ending After Season 5

Rob Lowe is fueling rumors that 9-1-1: Lone Star is coming to an end soon.

For a while now, there has been speculation that the Fox series from Ryan Murphy may be ending after the upcoming the fifth season.

In a new interview, Rob, 60, alluded to the idea that the show is in its final season.

Keep reading to find out more…“We all went into it pretty much knowing that it was going to be the last season, so that affected everything we did,” Rob told Variety about filming season 5. “We wanted to really show everybody what is still possible in network television if people have the appetite to do it.”

“It feels like it’s probably the end of an era of a certain type — well, it doesn’t feel like it. It is the end of an era of a certain type of show we once had an opportunity to make, and I think they’re great,” Rob continued, adding how he hopes the new season will make “our case for the values of shows like that.”

Rob stars in the series alongside Ronen Rubinstein, Jim Parrack, Gina Torres, Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, Rafael Silva, Julian Works, Kelsey Yates, Skyler Yates, Brianna Baker, and Sierra McClain.

“I think we did a really good job. The stories that we were able to tell on a weekly basis in terms of the scope and scale,” Rob added. “that’s probably the thing I’m the most proud of. They were truly like mini-movies every week.”
