Robert Downey Jr. is weighing in on Elon Musk‘s personality. After more than a decade of playing Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Robert is something of an expert on the iconic “genius, playboy, billionaire, philanthropist” character type. During a recent appearance, he was asked what he thought about Elon “cosplaying Tony Stark” in real life. He threw a bit of subtle shade in his response. Keep reading to find out more… While on the On With Kara Swisher podcast, Robert weighed in on Elon‘s character, noting that they had only met “a few times.” “As an almost 60-year-old recovering white American male, I just wish that he would control his behavior a little more, but that’s not on me,” he said, via Variety. “I know that this idea of ‘It’s all okay ’cause we’ve gotta get to Mars’ doesn’t really hold water with me. But again, you know, you have to look at all that he’s done that demonstrates why he’s valuable.” Speaking of Iron Man, you might be surprised by some of the stars who were in the running to play the iconic hero before Robert was cast. Someone even turned down an offer for the role.
