Robert Kennedy Jr. Apologies For Video Revealing Private Phone Call With Donald Trump

Robert Kennedy Jr. apologized to Donald Trump today after a video was posted of a phone conversation with the former president, who sounded like he was wooing him for his support.

“When President Trump called me I was taping with an in-house videographer,” Kennedy wrote on X/Twitter. “I should have ordered the videographer to stop recording immediately. I am mortified that this was posted. I apologize to the president.”

Kennedy’s son, Robert Kennedy III, had posted the video on X/Twitter but has since deleted it.

In the video, Trump talked about Kennedy’s signature topic — vaccines — before the former president sounded like he was wooing him for an endorsement or a role in his campaign.

“I would love you to do something,” Trump said. “It would be so good for you and so big for you. And we are going to win. We are going to win.”

“Yeah,” Kennedy said.

“We are way ahead of the guy,” Trump said.

Trump then talked about Biden’s call to him after the assassination attempt.

“It was very nice, actually,” Trump said. “He called me, and he said, ‘How did you choose to move to the right?'” At the rally, Trump had turned to the right, something that likely saved his life as the bullet grazed the side of his head.

“I said, ‘I was just showing a chart.’ I didn’t have to tell him the chart was on all the people pouring into our country. … It felt like the world’s largest mosquito, and it was. It was a bullet going right by me.”

Kennedy met with Trump in Milwaukee on Monday, but the independent candidate denied that he was ending his presidential bid. He wrote on X/Twitter, “Lots of rumors going around about my meeting this morning with President Trump. Our main topic was national unity, and I hope to meet with Democratic leaders about that as well. No, I am not dropping out of the race.”
