Rocket pulled off something that has never been attempted with a Super Bowl commercial – a live sing-along component. The mortgage company put together a commercial that celebrated what unifies Americans for the 2025 Super Bowl. It was all pulled together by John Denver‘s iconic country anthem “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” Keep reading to find out more… Rocket’s commercial featured people from all walks of life, coming together to sing the massive anthem. “Everyone deserves their shot at the American Dream,” the company wrote. As the clip ended, it rolled over into a live singalong inside Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, where the game is taking place. Speaking to USA Today, Jonathan Mildenhall, the company’s chief marketing officer, revealed that the idea for a singalong was floated during a brainstorming meeting. After some initial hesitancies from Fox Sports, the network agreed to pull it all together. This marks the first time that anything like it has ever happened during the big game. Any concerns about the plan not going off right were assuaged by the enduring popularity of “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” “When I really started to appreciate how affectionate Take Me Home, Country Roads is to all demographic groups of America, it was very clear that would be the appropriate bedrock,” he said. “As we started to play it in the commercial, we started to think more ambitiously about not just being an advertiser but being an activator for this year’s Super Bowl and get the stadium to sing along just after the commercial break.
