Hello everyone! Welcome to the ROH recap, This week we will hear from our longest reigning, forever ROH women’s champion and minion overlord, the fallen goddess, Athena, after she called for an emergency M.E.M. (minion empowerment meeting). We also have two women’s matches and two returns.

First, we see a replay of last week’s main event, the Halloween Ring of Horror match, in which Athena defeated Abadon. Then we see Lexy Nair backstage with the ROH women’s champion Athena. She mentions how last week she killed the Living Dead Girl, Abadon, then she talks about how a couple of weeks ago, she beat a porcelain hussy in Canada (Hi, Gisele!) and states that they need to expand their horizons to places like the U.K., France, India, China, and Japan (nothing for México, I guess) to make sure that every porcelain hussy gets shaken to their boots.

They laugh in excitement until Billie Starkz shows up. Athena looks at her and tells her bestie Lexy to handle it. Lexy asks her if she came to apologize to Athena, and in return, Billie says that she thought that Lexy have told her that Athena would forgive her. Lexy tells her that she needs to think about her decisions and puts her in minion time out.

Next up we have our first women’s match of the night, between Diamante versus Rachel Ellering. Diamante got the win with her rolling cutter. Post-match we saw the return of the ROH World Television Women’s Champion, Red Velvet, returning all the way from México to get her revenge on Diamante by attacking her. Both share a staredown after, and Red Velvet poses with her championship.

The second match of the night saw returning Leyla Hirsh back in action against Tina San Antonio. We saw a recap from the Death Before Dishonor match between Diamante and Leyla Hirsh; they mentioned that Leyla dislocated her shoulder after a moonsault. Following the code of honor, both women shake hands, and in a short match, Leyla gets her first win since her injury with a German suplex, followed by a hard knee to the skull.

I am happy to see Leyla back, as she became one of my favorites in AEW ever since that match she had with Kris Statlander. Hopefully we get to see her in the title picture in the future.  While It seems that we might finally get to the point of no return with Athena and Billie; I can’t wait to see what they do next.

What did you think about Leyla Hirsh’s return? Are you ready to see new faces as champions? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
