Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns says everyone’s story revolves around him, as both Cody Rhodes and The Rock saw what he was doing and wanted to be a part of it.
After a brief tease of a match between Roman Reigns and The Rock, the road to WrestleMania 40 has shifted to a feud where Reigns and Rock have clashed with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Roman Reigns was asked to comment on the situation with the “Cody Crybabies” and the idea that Rhodes could only finish the story by beating him
“I think everybody’s story revolves around me,” Roman Reigns said. “So I think he’s just one of many that’s just trying to tie this thing up. But at the end of the day, he’s just a chapter in the big book. This thing’s been started since August 2020, since I came back and I told the whole world that I was ‘The Head of the Table.’ I was the head of the greatest wrestling dynasty to ever exist.
“That’s the thing, we’ve done so much great things that we’ve made this place, it’s like there’s a magnetism. We pulled you in [gestures to McAfee], you’re like, ‘Man, The Bloodline’s doing all kinds of things. Let’s go do that. Let’s be a part of that.”
Roman Reigns: Hollywood Came To Me
Roman Reigns continued by highlighting how Cody Rhodes doing “a whole lot of nothing” before he saw what Reigns was doing and wanted to be a part of it. He noted that The Rock also saw it, and he wanted to join it as well.
“Same thing with Cody,” Roman Reigns said. “Cody was off doing, who cares, a whole lot of nothing. He saw what we were doing in WWE, and he wanted to be a part of that. Hollywood, Dwayne saw what we were doing. I’m the only guy that didn’t have to go to Hollywood. Hollywood came to me.”
