Roman Reigns breaks his silence during his WWE absence to pay tribute to his father.

The wrestling industry received sad news when it was announced that WWE Hall of Famer Sika Anoa’i had passed away. Sika was one half of the legendary tag team The Wild Samoans and the father of Roman Reigns.

The Tribal Chief hasn’t said much since losing to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL. But Reigns took to social media this evening to pay tribute to his father, tweeting out:

“My family and I thank everyone for the outpouring of support in the name of my father, Pola’ivao Leati Sika Anoa’i, who will forever be remembered as one half of The Wild Samoans tag team. My father had a profound impact on my entire family and we are forever grateful for the foundation he built for us. There’s no way to fill the void left by his passing but my sisters and I will do our best to represent him and his legacy. Rest in Power, Dad. We love you,” Roman Reigns said in a post.

There is currently no timetable for when we can expect Roman Reigns to be back on WWE programming.
