Anitta is back with her brand new Spanish-language song “Romeo” and she’s also opening up about the meaning behind the track. This is the Brazilian superstar’s first new release of 2025 and the beginning of her next musical era. “Hoy tu vas hacer mio. Yo no dije maybe,” she sings on the new track, which translates to, “Today you’re going to be mine. I didn’t say maybe.” Anitta has opened up about the intention behind the lyrics. Keep reading to find out more… “I think people are expecting Juliet to be someone [else] or a feature, but in reality, Juliet is Larissa—it’s me, my true self, the one inside that nobody sees. So people are going to see the two versions of me in the music video, which is the creator and the creature, and I think that’s a really beautiful concept and an extension of all the work that I’m doing,” Anitta told Elle.
