Cameras captured Cristiano Ronaldo’s frustration as Al-Nassr lost to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup on Saturday.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s journey in Saudi Arabia has been anything but smooth. Despite solid individual performances, the Portuguese forward has struggled to win major trophies with Al-Nassr. To date, his only title with the club is the Arab Champions Cup, won in 2023.

This Saturday, Ronaldo and his teammates had the opportunity to add to their list of achievements in the Saudi Super Cup final against Al-Hilal. However, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner suffered a bitter defeat, losing 1-4 to their rivals.

A palpable frustration

Despite an opener from CR7 at the end of the first half, Al-Nassr suffered a comeback from their opponents. Sergej Milinković-Savić scored, followed by a double from Aleksandar Mitrović, as well as Malcom, thus sealing the defeat for Ronaldo’s team.

Disappointed by the result, the former Real Madrid star did not hide his displeasure towards his teammates. Images published online show the Madeira native expressing his frustration by making reproachful gestures towards his team.
