Kylian Mbappé is not the only PSG player who adores Cristiano Ronaldo. His attacking partner Bradley Barcola reveals his immense admiration for “CR7”.

Bradley Barcola, 21, suddenly revealed himself to the general public during the Champions League quarter-final second leg won by PSG in Barcelona (1-4), on April 16. The OL-trained winger turned the game around by causing the exclusion of Ronald Araujo (29th) before delivering the cross which allowed Ousmane Dembélé to equalize (40th). He speaks in an interview on the UEFA website before the semi-final first leg against Dortmund next Wednesday at Borussia.

The international Espoir has an absolute idol: Cristiano Ronaldo, a player who left his mark by shaking the nets in C1 with Real Madrid. “Seeing him score in almost every match, even in the final, carrying his team, it was exceptional to see him every time. That was really my whole childhood, I always really liked Ronaldo. Seeing him work a lot, scoring, scoring, always scoring, I always liked that”begins Barcola.

“To never give up and to work hard”

Before continuing: “I think it’s mainly his mentality, to never give up and to work a lot. I think that’s what struck me the most and that’s what brought me to this point. I have always worked hard with a good mentality. That’s really what I learned from him.”. Barcola dreams of meeting a five-time Ballon d’Or player and saying to him: “thank you also for giving me so many emotions when I was younger”.

“CR7” has obviously left the European scene by opting for Saudi Arabia, but Bradley Barcola will perhaps have the opportunity to cross paths with the Portuguese idol if he is selected by Didier Deschamps in the French team for the Euro 2024 in Germany. France and Portugal can meet for example in the round of 16 if the Blues finish first in their group and the Seleçao second in their group.
