The situation surrounding Vince McMahon and the allegations of sexual misconduct by former WWE employee Janel Grant has led to significant developments within WWE and TKO Holdings. McMahon’s resignation from both companies following the lawsuit has sent shockwaves through the wrestling world.
In response to these developments, Ronda Rousey took to Twitter to voice her perspective. She claimed that Bruce Prichard serves as Vince McMahon’s avatar, implying that as long as Prichard is involved, McMahon still exerts influence within WWE.
Rousey further suggested that even during periods when Vince McMahon appeared to be “retired,” he was still overseeing operations through Bruce Prichard.
”Bruce Prichard is basically Vince’s avatar, if he’s still around Vince still has a hand in the business. Vince was still running things through Bruce when he was “gone” before.”
Ronda Rousey herself had departed WWE after her SummerSlam match against Shayna Baszler the previous year. She subsequently made her in-ring debut for Ring of Honor but made it clear that she had no plans to sign with AEW. Rousey is currently enjoying her life outside of professional wrestling.
These comments from Rousey offer an interesting perspective on the dynamics within WWE and the ongoing influence of Vince McMahon, even after his resignation.
