Ronda Rousey addressed her potential future in the UFC.

Following her departure from WWE last year, Ronda Rousey has largely shifted her focus to two less physical activities – mothering and writing. Still just at the age of 37, though, many fans have raised questions about the possibility of Rousey taking on, or rather reprising, another role, namely as a UFC fighter. During a recent interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Rousey pondered the potential of her returning to the Octagon.

“If I could, I definitely would,” Rousey said. “If I want to have a whole basketball team full of kids, I can’t take any more detours. I’ve always wanted to be a mom with a lot of kids.”

As Rousey alluded to, her journey as a mother began in September 2021 with the birth of her daughter, La’akea. Since then, she’s expressed interest in expanding her family even more, perhaps to equal the amount of an entire basketball team.

At the same time, Rousey also recently returned to the writing sphere, beginning with the release of her second memoir, titled Our Fight, in April. Currently, Rousey is working toward the launch of a new graphic novel, Expecting The Unexpected. This project is expected to drop on Kickstarter on July 25.

Rousey’s last mixed martial arts-related appearance took form in a loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 in December 2016.
