Rossy Ogawa comments on negotiating with WWE to bring IYO SKY to Marigold.
IYO SKY appeared in a taped message at Marigold’s Dream Star Fighting event, and she challenged Utami Hayashishita to face her at the Summer Destiny event on July 13.
Speaking with Tokyo Sports, promoter Rossy Ogawa detailed the negotiations. Per Ogawa, the process started in March, and he met with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H in April, as he attended WrestleMania 40 along with Giulia. It eas noted that WWE’s interest in signing Giulia is well-known, and the company allowing SKY to work a Marigold event was a “condition of exchange.” (H/t Andrew Thompson of POST Wrestling)
