And while things may be starting to tick on the pitch, that is certainly not the case off it.

Ten Hag has endured a turbulent time off the pitch after having to deal with several issues.

The Dutchman previously fell out with Sancho, while the Dutchman has also had to deal with Marcus Rashford after he was spotted in a nightclub.

Keane, who made 480 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 51 goals, believes time is running out for Ten Hag, and he could be replaced at the end of the season.

"It's a harsh word to use, 'on trial', because most managers are under pressure, but when you're Manchester United manager, that pressure comes," Keane told Sky Sports.

"Is he on trial? Yes, he probably is until the end of the season. If he doesn't get his hands on the FA Cup or get into the Champions League, that pressure will be building."

Approval for Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS as minority owners is imminent, and suggestions have been made they could look to draft in their own manager.

Ten Hag, though, believes he has the capabilities to be able to turn the Red Devils' fortunes around and eventually guide them to glory.

Man United legend Neville also believes the United boss' long-term future at the club remains in doubt.

"It's the biggest decision for the new owners in the next few months," Neville said.

"They're going to bring a sporting director and a head of recruitment in, but whether they keep the manager is the one we'll all be waiting on."

The victory over West Ham lifts Man United into sixth in the Premier League.
