Roy Keane has ripped into Tottenham for the way their 2-2 draw with Manchester United was celebrated.

Ange Postecoglou's side traveled to Old Trafford last week without a number of key players such as Heung-min Son, James Maddison, Ben Davies, Giovani Lo Celso and Dejan Kulusevski.

With Spurs currently sitting in fifth position, the result against Erik ten Hag's side was much-needed as they look to keep pace with the division's top sides.

But while the result at Old Trafford is seen by many as a big result given their lack of available stars, Man United star Keane was having none of it.

Speaking on The Overlap, Keane said: “Spurs drew 2-2 with Man United, United have lost nine league games – Bournemouth won 3-0 there two or three weeks ago and Spurs are buzzing with a draw.

“Everyone was – ‘Spurs are amazing, Spurs are…’, but it was 2-2!”

Responding to Gary Neville making the point that they were without a number of key players and dominated the game, Keane replied: “Do you know what’s really important in football, Gary? The score!

“It was 2-2 – it doesn’t matter who is missing! Clive Allen, Glenn Hoddle – Man United were missing players and United are poor.

“Sometimes you’ve got to go and lay a marker down by beating United, but to come away and say ‘we played so well and drew’ – so what?

“Bournemouth won there three weeks ago, 3-0 – Bournemouth! Spurs are supposed to be better.”

Tottenham enjoyed an electric start to the season, but have seen themselves drop out of the top four of late.

However with just five points separating them from top-of-the-table Liverpool, Postecoglou will be desperate to kick on in the weeks ahead.
