Ruben Amorim says he is unsure whether Marcus Rashford will play for Manchester United again following his side’s victory over Arsenal in the FA Cup on Sunday.

United are through to the FA Cup fourth round where they will face Leicester City following their penalty shootout victory against Mikel Arteta’s side at the Emirates Stadium.

Rashford, meanwhile, was left out of United’s matchday squad for their trip to London and has now not featured in his side’s last seven matches.

The 27-year-old has already indicated that he is keen to leave United for a ‘new challenge’, while his brother and agent, Dwaine Maynard, travelled to Italy this week to hold talks with AC Milan.

A January exit now looks likely for Rashford and speaking after United’s win over Arsenal on Sunday, Amorim could not guarantee that the England international would play for his side again.

Asked if Rashford has already played his final game for United, Amorim said: ‘I don’t know. I don’t know, we’ll see.

‘He is a player for Manchester United. We’ll see.

‘He has to work. He has to represent this club, and he loves this club, but I have to make choices. [I] already spoke about how I make the choices. So it is what it is.

‘So let’s continue. Let’s see the next game. And like I said, I have to make a selection.’

Speaking over the weekend, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who played alongside Rashford and is now an advisor for AC Milan, was asked about the Italian side’s link with the forward.

‘I know Rashford very well, I played with him when he was young, now he’s a grown-up and has done great things with Manchester United,’ Ibrahimovic said.

‘I don’t think I need to convince him, because Milan are one of the biggest clubs in the world and everyone wants to come here.

‘As of today, it is not an easy operation, but we have not spoken to him yet. We’ll see if we will speak to him.’
