RuPaul’s Drag Race will kick off the upcoming 17th season by doing a spoof of another popular TV series – Squid Game! MTV debuted the first ten minutes of the new season of Drag Race, with the queens competing in the “Squirrel Games” and a game of “Ru Light, Green Light.” In this first game, the 14 queens competing on season 17 go up against some Drag Race alums and more drag queens from around the country to move on to the next round. Keep reading to find out more… As they get eliminated, the queens had pies thrown in their faces before dropping to the ground. Of course, only the season 17 queens remained. Also featured in the “Squirrel Games” was a giant Lil’ Poundcake, a popular puppet character made famous by Alaska Thunderf–k and Lineysha Sparx in season five, as well as a few pit crew members. RuPaul also makes an appearance handling the controls for the game, before being revealed in a Babadook-like look. RuPaul’s Drag Race season 17 premieres TOMORROW (January 3) at 8pm ET/PT on MTV, followed by RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked at 9:30pm ET/PT. Katy Perry will be the first celebrity guest judge of the season.
