RVD is a WWE Hall of Famer, who influenced a generation after him. He’s done a lot in his career, and his personal life has seen a few twists and turns as well.

RVD married his first wife Sonia on September 6, 1998, but the couple separated in December 2015. In July 2016, she reportedly filed for divorce from RVD, and it was finalized in May 2018. In 2016, RVD started dating Katie Forbes, and the two were married in 2021. It appears that RVD is much happier with Forbes than he was with his ex.

While speaking to Wrestling Life, RVD didn’t mix words when speaking about his ex-wife. The Whole F’n Show made it very clear that he never wants to see her again.

“We always fought since the very first date, like about silly stuff — a girl in a miniskit walked by — almost guaranteed fight. It was almost like that one didn’t deserve to be called — I wouldn’t refer to her as a soul mate, although at the time I thought that’s what it was. It’s amazing because I was with that one for so many years, 15, 16 or something. Now, I hope I never see her again.”

He went on to note that he and Katie Forbes, “go along so much” from the get-go, and he’s been told how people “love their energy.” The two are quite a package duo, and they’ve taken dates on the pro wrestling scene as a couple as well.

RVD may have said in the past that he never wants to date anyone in the entertainment business, but “she gets it.” They met at WrestleMania in Dallas during WrestleCon so many years ago, and they haven’t been apart since. Katie Forbes and RVD are having a great time, and that’s awesome to see after his last relationship was a long term nuclear disaster.

RVD was last seen on WWE television during NXT’s invasion of the 2300 Arena. He was on hand to put over Je’Von Evans in a big way, and he also had an on-screen segment with Kelani Jordan, who has adopted his split-legged moonsault finisher.
