Ryan McCartan is heading back to Broadway! The 31-year-old actor, who got his start in Hollywood on the Disney Channel show Liv & Maddie, will star as Jay Gatsby in the musical The Great Gatsby. Ryan will replace original star Jeremy Jordan, who plays his final performance in the musical on January 19, 2025. This marks his return to Broadway after previously playing Fiyero in Wicked and Hans in Frozen. The Great Gatsby will kick off the novel’s Centennial Celebration with a benefit performance on January 16 that will culminate with a party at The New York Public Library, with all proceeds benefiting The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Ryan will begin performances in the show on January 21, 2025, starring alongside the show’s original Daisy actress Eva Noblezada.
