Ryback, known for his controversial statements, had previously declared that he would retire for good if CM Punk ever returned to WWE. However, he quickly changed his tune after Punk actually returned. Now he called out double standards in treatment after CM Punk’s Royal Rumble performance.

For weeks, Punk had expressed his desire to win the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match and headline WrestleMania for the first time. Unfortunately, his dreams were shattered as he came remarkably close to victory but lost in the end. Ultimately, Cody Rhodes emerged as the better man, throwing CM Punk out to secure his spot for WrestleMania.

Ryback took to Twitter and pointed out that when CM Punk came second in the Royal Rumble, people called him a team player and helped the business. On the other hand, when Ryback was second, he was called a failure and a flop.

Ryback pointed out the double standards in treatment from fans all over the world and then stated that there are no winners or losers in professional wrestling.

”When CM Punk comes in 2nd in the Rumble he is being a team player and helping the business. When I came in 2nd I was a failure and flopped according to the pathetic marks and dip**** dirt sheets. It’s physical acting and there are NO winners and losers. Follow me on Tik Tok at RYBACK! #Hungry”

CM Punk’s WrestleMania 40 match is also likely canceled after he suffered triceps injury at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. It is likely Ryback will comment on this soon as well, so we’ll have to see when that will happen.

What do you think of what Ryback had to say? Do you think he is correct? Let us know in the comments section below.
