The 2025 SAG Awards ceremony is happening tonight (Sunday, February 23)! The Screen Actors Guild Awards honor outstanding performances in film and TV, presented by SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists). These awards specifically recognize actors and ensembles, rather than other aspects of filmmaking like directing or writing. SAG awards also place special emphasis on ensemble performances, recognizing the collective cast of a film or TV series as a whole. Since many SAG Award winners often go on to win Oscars, the ceremony is considered a key predictor for the Academy Awards. The 31st SAG Awards will be streamed live by Netflix beginning at 8 p.m. ET. An official pre-show from the red carpet will start at 7 p.m. ET, also on Netflix. The red carpet is being hosted by actress and former Saturday Night Live star Sasheer Zamata and YouTube star Lilly Singh.
