Saint-Etienne dives back

Surprised last week by Amiens, Saint-Etienne lost to Dunkirk this Saturday, as part of the 23rd act of Ligue 2.

It was on a well-negotiated set piece at the end of the match by Sanganté that the Greens lowered their flag (81e), thus defeated by the smallest of margins (1-0).

Weighted down by two setbacks in a row, ASSE is in 10e position and could well tumble further in the evening in the L2 rankings.

The podium remains seven lengths away for the moment but the gap, here too, could well widen further. Dunkirk for its part remains in the red but now at the waterline.
