The Greens celebrated their 90th anniversary with a short but valuable home victory against Concarneau.
AS Saint-Etienne celebrated its 90th anniversary as it should. An impressive procession of 3,000 people, smoke bombs to support, in the streets of the city, impressive tifos and, most important, a victory at home against Concarneau (1-0). The results of this Saturday afternoon are good for the Greens, who extended their unbeaten run in Ligue 2 to 8 matches, to give themselves a little more chance of returning to Ligue 1 after two seasons in purgatory.

While awaiting the result of Angers, 3rd, against Laval, 4th, and Auxerre, leader of the championship, against Troyes on Monday, Saint-Etienne is virtually second and fully in the race for the climb. The Greens, who are 4 points behind AJA and one ahead of Angers SCO, have nevertheless experienced ups and downs this season, with the arrival along the way of Olivier Dall'Oglio, clearly a good choice in hindsight today.
