Salah is invited to move

Mohamed Salah is undoubtedly one of Liverpool’s best players this season. Last weekend he became the fourth highest scorer in the club’s history, confirming his status as a living legend at Anfield. However, a few months before the end of his contract, the Egyptian has still not extended. A situation which worries supporters and leaves doubt about its future.

It is in this context that Cody Gakpo, his teammate and Reds striker, decided to speak out. Dazzled by his teammate’s performance, he praised the latter’s impact, while encouraging him to continue. “It’s special what we’re experiencing with him. The number of goals he scores, his assists, the way he puts us in ideal positions to score, it’s simply an exceptional level”said the Dutchman.

Gakpo also reiterated Salah’s importance to the team, addingt: “We are very lucky to have him. We are proud to be his teammates and try to make him even better, like he does for us.”

While negotiations stagnate between Salah and management, there is no shortage of suitors. Paris Saint-Germain is carefully monitoring the situation and could try to secure the Egyptian’s services in the event of his departure. With 19 goals and 11 assists in all competitions this season, Salah remains a key player for Liverpool.

The coming weeks promise to be crucial for Salah’s future. It remains to be seen whether the calls from the locker room, like that of Gakpo, will be enough to convince him to extend his history with the Reds.
