Liverpool are reportedly eyeing up a potential transfer move for Brighton winger Facundo Buonanotte, who is currently on loan at Leicester City.

The talented 19-year-old is impressing in the Premier League at the moment, and it makes sense that bigger clubs might be starting to take notice of his performances.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool are alongside Manchester City as being keen on Buonanotte, who could be available for around €30million next summer, something the report suggests LFC would be willing to pay.

It perhaps makes sense for the Reds to be looking at wingers on the market at the moment, as they might soon have to think about bringing in a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is in the final few months of his contract at Anfield.

Facundo Buonanotte transfer to replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool?

While it won’t be easy to replace Salah at Liverpool, it could be smart business by the club to move for a talented young player like this to bolster their attacking options for next season.

Arne Slot already has more proven players like Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo and Federico Chiesa in that area of his squad, so the options are there for him to cope reasonably well without Salah, especially if he adds another talented young player to add a bit of X-factor to the side.

It seems clear that Buonanotte has a bright future in the game, and Brighton have often been willing to cash in on their top performers after bringing them in, developing them, and seeing their market value increase.

Liverpool notably signed Alexis Mac Allister from the Seagulls just over a year ago, so they’ll hope to do another deal with them here for this exciting Argentine who’s really dazzling with his performances on loan at Leicester so far this season.
