Nothing is going well between Boulaye Dia and Salernitana. In open conflict with his club since the start of the season, the Senegalese striker recruited permanently last summer (after being loaned for a year by Villarreal) was supposed to be the center of the Italian team’s project. In the end, it’s quite the opposite. And recently, his refusal to come into play against Udinese marked the end of his adventure in Campania.

There Gazzetta dello Sport indicates that Dia has been removed from the group and is training separately. His coach no longer counts on him and Salernitana intends to punish his player. The club therefore legally requested that Dia’s gross salary be reduced by 50% until the end of the season. But that’s not all ! The red lantern in Serie A also wants to obtain compensation for damages and is demanding €20 million from its attacker, the sum invested in him last summer.
