Samantha Irvin is standing by her husband, Ricochet, following a whirlwind of social media drama. Irvin’s defense comes after Ricochet faced backlash for a series of alleged tweets targeting “WWE shills” who turned on him after he transitioned from WWE to AEW. The high-flying wrestling star initially denied the authenticity of the tweets, but the criticism persisted, prompting Irvin to weigh in.

Ricochet has also earned a reputation as someone quick to defend himself online. This perception intensified after he reportedly shared a series of now-deleted tweets expressing frustration with fans who once supported him but now criticize him for joining AEW. “It’s really funny to me how a lot of people used to love me under the tutelage of WWE but the moment I jump ship to another company they turn their backs on me like why? I don’t get it I’m still the same f***** person I was in and outside of the WWE, who the f*** are you?” the alleged tweets read.

Ricochet also took aim at social media’s negative impact on him and Irvin, who recently left WWE. In the alleged tweets, he claimed the toxicity of online platforms had become unbearable, leading him to consider stepping back. “This app is so filled with the most brain-rotted dumbasses (WWE shills) that I’m seriously considering leaving this f****** s**** app, like the toxicity can’t be good for any of you, especially to those who constantly harass my wife,” read another alleged post.

After the alleged tweets were scrubbed from his profile, Ricochet responded by dismissing the situation and insisting they were fabricated, tweeting, “Bahahaha this is fake.” The denial didn’t stop fans from piling on, accusing Ricochet of being overly sensitive and embarrassing himself with repeated online outbursts.

Stepping into the fray, Samantha Irvin added her voice to Ricochet’s defense, tweeting a simple but firm, “Fake tweets.” Her statement reinforced Ricochet’s denial, showing unwavering support for her husband amid the backlash.

Despite the drama, fans who back Ricochet hope he’ll step away from reacting to negative social media posts for the sake of his mental well-being and career.

Do you think Ricochet and Samantha Irvin’s denials are enough to put the Twitter controversy to rest? Should wrestlers engage less with social media critics? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
