Samantha Irvin Says She Didn’t Like Ring Announcing, Wanted To Manage In WWE

Samantha Irvin comments on leaving WWE and says being a ring announcer was a job that she didn’t like.

WWE RAW Ring announcer Samantha Irvin announced her departure from WWE on October 21. Lilian Garcia then returned to WWE as the RAW ring announcer on Monday’s show.

On October 26, Irvin took to social media and responded to some comments. She stated, “I don’t like announcing. I’m serious! Announcing was only supposed to be my way in. I wanted to manage, maybe even become general manager one day. But WWE saw no other future for me besides announcer. I love watching the action but I don’t love being an announcer.”

One user referenced Ricochet, Irvin’s fiancé, and wrote that he “did this.” Irvin responded by writing, “My husband is a millionaire so yes, I don’t have to do a job I don’t like anymore.”

Irvin continued to comment on social media, saying that she loved WWE, and she loved every moment with the company, but she was not an announcer by trade.
