Sami Zayn is set to debut his new comedy show in Toronto, on the same weekend the city host WWE’s Money in the Bank.
The Canadian star recently performed for the first time on stage. Zayn performed stand-up for the Netflix is a Joke festival. He was interrupted by rival Johnny Knoxville on stage.
Hopefully things go better next month, when Sami Zayn & Friends come to his home country of Canada. WWE announced Sami Zayn & Friends Do Toronto is set to take place on July 4th, 2024. It will be at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto as part of WWE’s Money In The Bank weekend.
No names other than the Intercontinental Champion have been announced for the show. However, his “friends” will include “guests from the worlds of comedy, television and WWE”. It should be an exciting show for fans of comedy and wrestling who will be in town for Money in the Bank.
Money in the Bank 2024 will take place just two days later at the Scotiabank Arena. It is the second time in a row the event will be hosted outside of the US. It follows last year’s show in London, England
“Sami Zayn & Friends Do Toronto is a comedy and variety show featuring guests from the worlds of comedy, television and WWE. Tickets for Sami Zayn & Friends Do Toronto go on sale Wednesday, June 19 at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster.ca,” WWE wrote in a press release. “An exclusive presale opportunity will be available starting Tuesday, June 18 at 10 a.m. ET. A limited number of post-show meet-and-greet tickets with Zayn will also be available to purchase.”
Sami Zayn is also expected to wrestle at Money in the Bank 2024, after retaining his Intercontinental Championship against Chad Gable at Clash at the Castle.
