Chad Gable wasn’t able to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship after losing the Gauntlet match last month and has since trained Zayn to eventually beat Gunther instead. Gable and Zayn battled for the title on RA this week and Gable lost, which led to him turning heel on Zayn. Zayn would then send a warning to Gable after the show.

Sami Zayn aimed to express gratitude to Chad Gable for the guidance and training sessions that helped him defeat GUNTHER at WrestleMania 40 and win the WWE Intercontinental title. He did so by offering Gable a title match on tonight’s Monday Night RAW.

Chad Gable put up a strong fight, but Sami Zayn secured his championship with a last-minute Helluva kick. After the match, Gable displayed sportsmanship by raising Zayn’s hand in victory and leaving the ring.

However, when Zayn approached his wife to celebrate his win, Gable launched surprise attack from behind, continuing the assault outside the ring. The show concluded with Gable locking Zayn in an ankle lock while Zayn was positioned on the top turnbuckle, leaving fans stunned as their friendship seemed to unravel.

While speaking after the show went off the air, Sami Zayn noted that he finally understood how Chad Gable felt when he let his family down and then vowed to get revenge on Gable once Zayn recovers from his injury.

”Chad I actually kind of get it, now I understand how it felt for you to let down your family and friends. Guess what? This is my city, these are my people, my friends and that is my family. Injuries heal Gable. I just want you to know, as soon it gets better, I am coming back to kick your b**** ass.”

We will have to wait and see how WWE will book Sami Zayn and Chad Gable’s feud in the coming weeks, as we slowly approach the Backlash Premium Live Event on May 4th this year.
