Sammy Guevara has been involved in a highly publicized incident with AEW’s legendary acquisition, Jeff Hardy, who was anticipated to infuse the roster with heightened star power and credibility. However, the journey has been fraught with challenges and setbacks.
The most recent setback occurred during Hardy’s in-ring encounter with the AEW stalwart himself. Following their match on February 14, Sammy Guevara found himself under suspension due to his involvement in the match, which culminated in Hardy sustaining an injury.
Earlier reports indicated that Guevara’s suspension from AEW persisted, stemming from the miscommunication that transpired during his bout with Jeff Hardy, wherein he executed a GTH on an already injured Hardy.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Spanish God is no longer suspended from AEW. However, there was no word on any planned storylines for Sammy Guevara at the moment, despite some pitches being made for the same.
“Sammy Guevara is no longer suspended by AEW but there’s no word on when he’ll be cycled back into storylines. There has been stuff pitched but nothing confirmed.”
Despite the setback, Guevara remains resolute in his determination to overcome obstacles and pursue his aspirations within the wrestling realm. Now, with Sammy Guevara reportedly no longer suspended, it will be interesting to see him return to the AEW fold for compelling storylines.
