For fans lucky enough at attend San Diego Comic-Con, there are two things you are most looking forward to. The first, of course, is actually attending Comic-Con. The second is two weeks prior when the convention announces the schedule, so you can begin to start planning what’s going to be there and what you want to see.

The Comic-Con schedule was finally completed on Sunday, giving us a broad scope of what is, and isn’t, going to be happening at the convention. Is Marvel Studios back with what will probably be an avalanche of news? Yes. Did James Gunn lie about not showing up with the DC Universe? No, he did not. But DC will be represented with The Penguin, and other films such as Transformers One and Alien: Romulus will pick up the slack.

We mention movies and TV because that’s our main area of interest. But what’s great about the Comic-Con schedule is it’s so robust everyone can find something they love. You can see the full schedule at this link and, below, the 15 panels we’re most excited about. Which, as you can tell, are mostly movie and TV-focused. (Also, here’s the “Print Ready” link which is way easier to navigate.)

Transformers One OptimusTransformers One – Paramount

Transformers One

I didn’t love the first trailer but I’m still excited to see this new Transformers animated film, and this panel will have Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, and Keegan-Michael Key in attendance.

When: Thursday July 25, 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. PST, Hall H

What We Do in the Shadows

This panel is being referred to as the “farewell tour kick-off” and will include a full episode from the sixth and final season of the show as well as appearances by Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Mark Proksch, and Kristen Schaal.

Star Wars: Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away

No Star Wars movie or TV news at Comic-Con this year (expect that at August’s D23 Expo), but Patton Oswalt will host this panel which will feature actors and creatives behind the new Star Wars Outlaws game and The High Republic books.

Dogpool and WolverineDogpool and Wolverine – Marvel Studios

Deadpool & Wolverine

Originally a TBA slot, we now know that Marvel Studios will host a special panel commemorating the opening of Deadpool & Wolverine with Kevin Feige, director Shawn Levy, and stars Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds in attendance. Will they show the movie itself? That would be nice.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power

Prime Video did a massive Comic-Con blowout for the first season of Rings of Power and we expect nothing less for the second season, especially now that a few of the mysteries are more in the open.

Ladies’ Night with Perri Nemiroff

I’ve known Perri for a long time and she’s one of the best in the business at what she does. She does an awesome online interview series called “Ladies Night” that she’s now bringing to Comic-Con with an INSANE lineup. She’s got Scream‘s Melissa Barrera, Mandalorian‘s Katy O’Brian, and Hazbin Hotel‘s Erika Henningsen.

Hasbro Star Wars

We here at io9 love our Star Wars toys and Hasbro is going to reveal all the new ones at this panel.

Marvel Fanfare with C.B. Cebulski and Kevin Feige

Two of the biggest names behind the scenes at Marvel chop it up about the comics side of the business. Should be very interesting for a lot of reasons.

Directors on Directing

Last year, this panel was awesome and we expect nothing less this year too. This time, directors Antoine Fuqua (The Equalizer, the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic) and Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, Stargate) will talk about the past, present, and future of their films.

Alien Romulus screamAlien Romulus – Fox

Alien: Romulus

There’s one more big sci-fi film ready to burst out this summer. Director Fede Alvarez and stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu will be there to chat about the August 16 release.

20 Years of Scott Pilgrim

Creator Bryan Lee O’Malley hosts a panel looking back at two decades of success and adaptations for everyone’s favorite bass-playing fighter of evil exes.

Star Trek Universe

Want some news about what’s happening in the world of Star Trek? This is the place. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Star Trek: Lower Decks, and the new cast members from Star Trek: Section 31 are all confirmed but you can bet there will be surprises.

Silo Season 2

One of Apple TV+’s best sci-fi mystery shows is coming to Comic-Con and it’s bringing stars Rebecca Ferguson and Common along for the ride, with the showrunners of course.

The Penguin

The presence of the DC Universe will be minimal at Comic-Con but the biggest spot is this panel about the upcoming Batman spinoff show. Colin Farrell won’t be there in person (he’ll be there via video) but executive producer Matt Reeves will be, among others.

Marvel Studios

Saving the best for last, Kevin Feige takes the Hall H stage to lay out what’s next both in theaters and streaming for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Expect news, footage, and so much more
