The actress, who just turned 60 on Friday (July 26), is “doing okay” as she reached her milestone day, nearly a year after losing her longtime partner Bryan Randall, according to People.

“Her friends gave her the support that she needed both during his illness and afterwards. She is grateful for all the love,” the source went on to say. “Everyone helped to lift her up after Bryan passed.”

Bryan was her her partner since 2015, and died at 57 after a three-year battle with ALS. Sandra previously told the public she would “take a pause” from her career in order to spend time with her family, including her two children, who are now 11 and 14.

Her most recent roles were 2022 films Bullet Train and The Lost City, for which she also served as a producer.

She hasn’t appeared in a movie since, but while she was celebrating the 30th anniversary of her film Speed, she appeared with costar Keanu Reeves on the 50 MPH podcast, where they teased another project eventually.

“Before I die, before I leave this planet, I do think that Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera,” she said when the idea of a third Speed movie idea was floated to the costars. “Are we, you know, in wheelchairs or with walkers? Maybe. Maybe.”

It was recently confirmed that she will be in a sequel to one of her most beloved projects.
