After delivering hits with Kedarnath and Simmba, Sara Ali Khan faced a setback with her third film, Love Aaj Kal in 2020, where she was criticized for her acting skills. In an interview with Mid-Day, she reflected on the failure and admitted to being dishonest with the project.
During an interaction with Mayank Shekhar of Mid-Day, Sara spoke candidly about the film, calling it a mistake. When asked, “What was Love Aaj Kal?”, she acknowledged it was an error on her part. “I take full responsibility for the fact that I didn’t deliver. Nevertheless, it really helped me. It could have been easy for me to go off-track. After the success of Kedarnath and Simmba, one more box-office success and I could have gone daamadol. You never know,” she stated.
