Saraya has been absent from AEW programming in recent weeks, and she has teased her return.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion has not wrestled since the October 8 episode of AEW Dynamite. There, she lost in a four-way match that included Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter, and Nyla Rose. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that she was working on some other projects, and she was not believed to be injured.
In a tweet, Saraya hinted at her looming return to AEW programming. She responded to a fan who shared a clip of her at the Reality Television Awards, and she wrote, “Wait until this version makes her way back to Dynamite.”
Saraya’s AEW deal had been coming up, and her future was up in the air. However, in late September, Fightful (via Fightful Select) reported that she had re-signed with the company. The report noted that she signed a one-year deal, and AEW had an option year, but her new deal was believed to be separate. During her time with AEW, Saraya has had a 44-day reign as the AEW Women’s World Champion.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
