Sareee brought a tough fight to Bozilla for their Marigold World Championship match despite being cut open mid-match.

Bozilla previously defeated Sareee in their first singles encounter at the inaugural Dream Star Grand Prix Tournament. Since then, the Marigold World Champion has looked forward to getting her rematch to avenge her loss against her former tag partner.

The rematch officially took place at Marigold’s recent Fantastic Adventure show. Bozilla took advantage of her size advantage and raw power to fling Sareee across the ring on multiple occasions. The action spilled to the outside, with both women brawling all over Korakuen Hall. It was during one of their brawls near the west side of the venue that Sareee was cut open from the forehead. Despite the bloody face, the fighting champion showed her resiliency by kicking out of Bozilla’s signature maneuvers. Sareee then wrestled Bozilla down with an armbar to secure the submission victory. This marked her first successful Marigold World Championship defense.

Both competitors shook hands as a display of good sportsmanship. Sareee also praised Bozilla saying that she is of world championship caliber. The champion then proceeded to the backstage area to give her comments. She expressed feelings of uncertainty if she had what it took to continue the match amidst the blood.

Some time after the event, Sareee took to her Twitter to share photos from the match. “What I gained from this fight is enormous. I will continue to seek out strength and fight in a way that only I can,” she says.

Nanae Takahashi seems to be Sareee’s next challenger following their confrontation after the match with Bozilla. Utami Hayashishita is also waiting on her opportunity for the belt as the Dream Star Grand Prix winner.
