Al-Nassr’s start to the season is clearly not satisfactory. In mid-season, the club where Cristiano Ronaldo officiates, in particular, officiates in fourth place at eight points from the leaders Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad. A disappointing result for the Riyadh club which decided to act on this winter transfer window to strengthen in particular in the offensive sector. If Cristiano Ronaldo (14 goals and 2 assists in 17 matches) and Sadio Mané (5 goals and 7 assists in 17 games) are efficient, it seems insufficient for the Saudi training which notably saw Talisca leave this winter on the side of Fenerbahçe.
In this situation, it seemed logical to see Al-Nassr accelerate on the transfer window to compensate for the loss of the Brazilian. For the center-forward role, Al-Nassr therefore put himself on the track of two players. There was Victor Boniface (24 years old), the striker of Bayer Leverkusen (8 goals and 1 offering in 15 appearances) who was notably targeted and expected on the side of Saudi Arabia for negotiations. While Bayer Leverkusen claimed nearly 50 million euros for the player, it is ultimately another more expensive track that should be concluded.
Kaoru Mitoma in addition to Jhon Duran?
Target in Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham this winter, the Colombian striker Jhon Duran (21) was one of the revelations of the season on the side of Aston Villa. Despite his status as an Ollie Watkins lining, he hit the front with 12 goals in 29 games and that caught the eye of Al-Nassr. Finding an agreement with Aston Villa for an offer of 75 million euros excluding bonuses as we have announced, the Saudi club is about to complete this first arrival.
However, it would not be the only arrival that could land on the side of Al-Nassr this winter. Far from being satiated, the Saudi club has embarked on another premier league star with Kaoru Mitoma according to The Athletic. The 27 -year -old Japanese striker who plays in Brighton shines this season again with the Seagulls (5 goals and 3 assists in 25 games). The left winger is the subject of an approach of 65 million euros from the Saudi training. The latter has been pushed by Brighton, it remains to be seen whether Stefano Pioli's club will continue to raise the auctions to afford an end of XXL transfer window.
