Though she remains a lone wolf in the Queen’s Quest faction, Saya Kamitani is holding her head up high for the sake of herself and the unit.

It has been a little over a month since STARDOM‘s The Conversion show where the final chapter of Queen’s Quest and Oedo Tai’s historic rivalry took place. In an unfortunate series of events, a double cross by Momo Watanabe led to Queen’s Quest’s ultimate defeat. Per the rules of the match, all members of the faction with the exception of Saya Kamitani had to leave the group.

Since then, AZM and Miyu Amasaki have found a new alliance with Suzu Suzuki, Mei Seira, and Starlight Kid in a new unnamed faction. Lady C and Hina, on the other hand, will be joining God’s Eye led by Syuri. Saya Kamitani, however, remains the sole member of Queen’s Quest.

In a recent Twitter post, Saya Kamitani expressed her emotions a month after the unfortunate fate that her group met. In spite of the trials she has faced, she remains committed to carrying the Queen’s Quest flag as she feels responsible for rebuilding the group and its name moving forward. “Every time I remember that day, tears come to my eyes. But no matter how much I think about it, I can’t go back to the past. How can I change my future? I’ve lost a lot, but I’ve also gained a lot. Joy, sadness, I have to continue to stand in the ring with all these different feelings in mind. To soar into the sky again,” she says.

Brief history on the Queen’s Quest faction

Queen’s Quest is one of STARDOM’s most historic stables. Io Shirai, now known as IYO SKY in WWE, formed the unit in November of 2016 and aligned herself with Hazuki after betraying former partner Mayu Iwatani. Since then, Queen’s Quest has been home to some of STARDOM’s most decorated in-ring competitors under Io Shirai’s tutelage. This legacy includes the likes of Saya Kamitani, Utami Hayashishita, AZM, Hazuki, and Momo Watanabe, among others.
