The red card received by Jude Bellingham after the huge controversy at the end of the match in Valencia has been confirmed. The Englishman from Real Madrid received a two-match suspension.

Clearly, this Champions League day is off to a bad start for Real Madrid. After the announcement of suspicions of tax fraud against Carlo Ancelotti, it is the verdict concerning Jude Bellingham which has just fallen.

Saturday evening, the Merengues cried scandal after this end of the match in Valencia (2-2) where the referee of the match whistled the end of the match while Jude Bellingham was preparing to score the winning goal, from the head. Real were deprived of the two points of victory, on the one hand, and in the heat of the action Bellingham received a red card for protest.

Two matches for Bellingham

In his report, referee Gil Manzano pinned the England international, writing that the Real midfielder had run towards him “in an aggressive attitude”while repeatedly shouting: “it’s a fucking goal.” By viewing the images, the Competition Committee considered that the facts described by the referee were correct, and clearly did not consider any mitigating circumstances towards the player, taking into account the context.

As a result, Bellingham was suspended for two firm matches. He will miss the matches against Celta de Vigo this Sunday at the Bernabéu and that of Saturday March 16 in Pamplona against Osasuna.
