Scott D’Amore is bringing back the iconic Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling brand.

The former TNA boss has been out of the business since being fired from his role in February. Despite being the head of creative for a number of years, he oversaw the transition from Impact to TNA, but the company fired him for unknown reasons earlier this year.

He has remained out of the business since then. However, Scott D’Amore is set to make a triumphant return with Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling. The company, which was previously known as Maple Leaf Wrestling, ran for six decades before being absorbed by the WWE in the 1980s.

Now with Scott D’Amore in charge, the Canadian company looks to become Canada’s biggest wrestling promotion.

The first two events for MLPW have already been announced. MAPLE LEAF PRO Forged in Excellence will be a two night event, taking place on Saturday October 19 and Sunday October 20 at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Scott D’Amore has already announced some big stars to appear. Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal will appear, as well as Josh Alexander, KUSHIDA, Trevor Lee and many more.

In the press release announcing the company, Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling President Scott D’Amore said:

“For six decades, Maple Leaf Wrestling hosted a who’s who of the world’s greatest wrestlers,” s”Legends like Lou Thesz, Bruno Sammartino, Ric Flair, Andre the Giant and Rowdy Roddy Piper all competed in Maple Leaf. Now, we’re bringing that legacy back with modern-day legends from WWE, New Japan, TNA, AEW and beyond.”

The events will be broadcast on pay-per-view on TrillerTV. Tickets for MAPLE LEAF PRO Forged in Excellence will be available for purchase on mlpwrestling.com on August 26th.
