Scott L. Schwartz, the actor-cum-professional wrestler best know for playing Bruiser in the Oceans franchise, died November 26 at his home in Covington, LA.

Schwartz made his Oceans debut in the first, 2011 installment by pretending to pommel George Clooney behind closed doors. He would go on to reprise his role in Oceans 12 and 13.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Schwartz started out as a pro wrestler under the ring names of The Israeli Commando and Giant David before trying out his moves in Hollywood as both a stunt man and a baddo for hire.

His TV credits include Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Martial Law, Angel, Nash Bridges, Castle, The Mentalist, The Young and the Restless and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Besides Oceans, he also appeared in the films Fun with Dick and Jane, Starsky & Hutch and The Scorpion King.

Schwartz was described by those close to him as a “jolly person, so full of life, a foodie and travel aficionado.” When he wasn’t acting, wrestling or telling jokes he spent his time visiting children with cancer at hospitals.

He is survived by his wife Misty, his children Angela and Adam, mother-in-law Brenda, special cousins Sherry and Duwayne, special Aunt Penni along with her children Holli, Todd, Howard (and their families).
