Napoli are working on the final details to complete the transfer of Scott McTominay from Manchester United.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, McTominay was due in Naples to complete his medical on Wednesday but his arrival has been delayed by a day.
The two clubs are still working on the final details before all of the paperwork is sorted. That means McTominay will arrive in Italy ahead of his late move on Thursday, 24 hours prior to the transfer deadline.
This means United are preparing to face Liverpool without McTominay, who has featured off the bench in the first two games of the season against Fulham and Brighton.
Napoli are trying to complete the deal as soon as possible to speed up his registration as a new player for Antonio Conte’s side.
McTominay will be missed at United and anyone who thinks otherwise is overlooking the fact he scored 10 goals in a side that struggled to score last season.
It sounds like we could have an announcement on McTominay’s transfer tomorrow.
