Scott Reeves is returning to General Hospital! In a new interview published on Wednesday (October 9), the 58-year-old actor announced that he will be returning to the ABC long-running soap opera as Dr. Steve Webber after an 11-year hiatus. Keep reading to find out more…“It was like coming home,” Scott told TV Insider. “I got to work the first day and it was early in the morning. It was just so weird driving up to Prospect [Studios] and going through the guard gate. Literally, from the moment I drove in, I was like, ‘Wasn’t it just a week ago that I left and I was pulling out of here?’” Scott played Steve Webber on General Hospital from 2009 to 2013. His character was sent to prison after it was revealed that he took the life of a young man in a coma, who was doing a life sentence for murder, so that a 14-year-old girl could get a life-saving transplant. “I wondered how long it was going to take before Steven was paroled,” Scott joked. “Steven did his time, he’s been out of prison for a few months now and has been living in Sedona, Arizona trying to start over and figure out what life is supposed to look like at this point,” he continued. “He lost his medical license, obviously, when he went to prison but he felt justified in it.” Scott‘s first episode back on General Hospital will air on Thursday, October 24, and for right now, he’ll only be appearing on several episodes. While he’s only making a quick return, Scott said he’s open to returning to the show more in the future, adding, “Anytime they want me back, I’m there.” Check out all of the other recent cast changes on General Hospital here!
