Bronson Reed had gained significant momentum in recent weeks, leading to expectations of a major role at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. Regrettably, he couldn’t participate in the show due to personal reasons. Meanwhile, the original plans for Reed’s involvement in the event have now been disclosed.

Bronson Reed experienced an unexpected defeat to Bobby Lashley in his Men’s Elimination Chamber qualifying match on RAW. WWE’s surprising choice to exclude Reed from the trip to Australia followed this outcome.

While the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event was ongoing, Bronson Reed took to social media and disclosed that he and his wife welcomed their baby earlier than expected, leading to his decision to miss the Premium Live Event to be with his family.

According to Sean Ross Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, Reed was initially slated for a significant role in the Elimination Chamber event in his home country of Australia. Originally set to face Seth Rollins in a World Heavyweight Championship match, as hinted in promos, the plans were disrupted when Rollins suffered a knee injury, preventing him from performing on the show.

It was further added that Bronson Reed was more than willing to work the Premium Live Event before the birth of his child.

”Bronson Reed was not WWE Elimination Chamber, and was not in Australia for the show. This was not the original plan. Reed tweeted this morning that his wife gave birth to their child early, although that wasn’t the original reason he was off the show, as he’d indicated on twitter recently.”

”Fightful Select has learned that Bronson Reed was slated for a huge spot on the Elimination Chamber show in his home country. Originally, Reed was scheduled to face Seth Rollins in a World Heavyweight Championship match, hinted at in promos where he said he was coming after a champion that had no idea it was coming. Unfortunately, plans for the match were canceled when Rollins sustained a knee injury, and wasn’t able to perform on the show.”

”We’re told that Reed was more than willing to work the event ahead of the birth of his child, but everything ended up working out for the best.”

It is uncertain if WWE will arrange something significant for Bronson Reed to compensate for the unexpected changes to his Elimination Chamber plans. Meanwhile, Reed will stay occupied as he embraces his new role as a father.
