Selena Gomez is opening up about her family plans for the future. The 31-year-old spoke out in a new interview for TIME‘s 100 Most Influential Companies issue, where her company Rare Beauty is on the list. In the interview, Selena opened up about having a plan to adopt a child at a certain age before meeting now boyfriend Benny Blanco, and she reacted to his recent comments about getting married and having kids with her. Keep reading to find out what she said… “I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it,” Selena said. “A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it. Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone.” She added of when she realized she liked him, which happened when he brought her to meet a friend at a birthday party, and she said, “It just happens when you least expect it.” During a recent appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Benny said that the next goal in life is kids and he can see himself marrying Selena. “He can’t lie to save his life. If he’s asked a question, he’ll answer it,” Selena told TIME of his opening up. “I just cherish every moment with him. I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know that he’s not going anywhere any time soon.” After Benny‘s comments, a source opened up about the couple’s plans, noting they don’t have any plans set in place yet, but they have talked about their future.
