The Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Sunday Katung, has offered full scholarships to five students of Bethel Baptist High School who were victims of a bandit attack and kidnapping in 2021.

The fundraising programme was organized by the ‘Kaduna Baptist Conference.’

The lawmaker said Katung’s education foundation would undertake the responsibility of funding their(students) education, providing significant relief to the students and their families, who have already endured immense trauma.

“From today, my education Foundation will take full responsibility for their education from now up to the university level,” Katung announced during the event.

Katung said he was committed to supporting the education and future endeavors of the students is a commendable gesture and a beacon of hope for the affected families.

The kidnapping incident at Bethel Baptist High School was one of the many attacks on schools in Kaduna State, highlighting the need for increased security measures and support for affected students and families.
