Sen. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal commiserated with flood victims in Borno and other states that have displaced many and, in some places, led to the loss of lives and livelihoods. He described it as a “national calamity of unprecedented measure.”
According to Tambuwal, he said; “I sincerely wish to commiserate with the government and the good people of Borno and other affected states following the severe floods that have displaced many and, in some places, led to the loss of lives and livelihoods. This is indeed a national calamity of unprecedented measure.
“I call on the Federal Government, NEMA, and well-meaning Nigerians to provide urgent support in bringing relief to the victims during this difficult time. This will enable those who have lost family members and livelihoods to resume their normal lives within the shortest time possible.
”My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this natural disaster. I pray to God Almighty to comfort them and bring succor.”
