Senegal-Cameroon live: Cascade of absences on both sides?

Senegal and Cameroon face each other this Friday (6 p.m.) as part of the second day of the African Cup of Nations. A meeting to follow live with commentary on our site.

Senegal-Cameroon, pre-match

Title holders following their victory in the final of the last edition against Egypt (0-0 ap, 4-2 tabs), Senegal got off to a perfect start to the 2023 African Cup of Nations by quite easily controlling the lead. Gambia (3-0). Well off to a good start, Sadio Mané and his team will however have to step up their game as they face Cameroon this Friday (6 p.m.). The Indomitable Lions who, for their part, had a little more difficulty when they entered the fray since they conceded a draw against Guinea (1-1), despite a second period spent in numerical superiority.

Today’s meeting between the two nations nonetheless remains a real shock between CAN winners. However, several players could be missing. On the Cameroonian side first, with Vincent Aboubakar still injured and absent, while Christopher Wooh, injured in the knee against Guinea, is uncertain on the defense side. Then on the Senegalese side, since the packages of Kouyaté and Sabaly have already been recorded, while there is great uncertainty over the presence of Sima and Niakhaté.
