Senegal negotiated its entry into CAN 2024 well with a quiet success against Gambia (3-0). The last goal, signed Lamine Camara, is splendid.

That’s what we call a successful start! For its first steps in the African Cup of Nations, Senegal calmly disposed of Gambia (3-0) on Monday, in a match mainly marked by the technical incident which stopped the broadcast of the match in the first period. .

Reigning African champions, the Lions of Téranga quickly opened the scoring through Marseillais Pape Gueye (1-0, 4th), on a good shift from Sadio Mané. And after the red card received by Ebou Adams just before the break (45th + 7), it was another Ligue 1 midfielder, Lamine Camara, who scored twice to put his team away.

Camara’s missile!

After good work from Ismaila Sarr, the FC Metz player planned well to adjust the Gambian goalkeeper (2-0, 52nd). But the best was yet to come. Author of a 58-meter goal in Ligue 1 in Monaco, Lamine Camara confirmed that he had an excellent ball strike. After a series of dribbles from the other OM winger, Iliman Ndiaye, the Metz midfielder released a splendid shot which landed in the top corner (3-0, 88th). Absolutely unstoppable!
